RARE CANNABIS ALBERT REMEDY MARIJUANA
A very rare authentic cannabis marijuana remedy bottle with original label, box, and advertising flyer! This is a recent attic find from an 1800's drugstore..the cork sealed bottle was still in the box with advertising flyer wrapped around the bottle. This is truly a museum quality find!
The bottle has it's original label wrapped around 3 sides and reads in part: ALBERT REMEDY TRADE MARK (fancy monogram) Contains about 13 per cent of Absolute Alcohol By Volume and 2 GRAINS OF CANNABIS INDICA In Each Fluid Oz. Rheumatism and Gout THE KELL'S COMPANY NEWBURGH,N.Y. Sold by All Druggists Price One Dollar. (Directions on other side)......Unembossed bottle.....cork top with original cork still sealed in neck....square....4 1/4"tall...Excellent attic mint condition with no chips or damage. Label is also perfect.
The thin cardboard box has a paper covering which is lettered almost exactly the same the bottle label.....2 GRAINS CANNABIS INDICA....Box is 4 3/4"tall and in very nice condition. Only the very top of box has the paper wrapper removed.
The paper flyer reads ALBERT RHEUMATIC AND GOUT REMEDY Trade Mark (fancy monogram) THIS REMEDY....HAS BEEN COMPOUNDED BY US FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS.....THE KELLS COMPANY NEWBURGH,N.Y. SUCCESSORS TO A.E.HUGHES & CO. NEW YORK...." With cannabis, alcohol, etc, I'm sure this remedy must have made the user feel better, even if it didn’t cure him! This is a very scarce narcotic drug bottle for cannabis collectors.
