ZATSO
1913 Zatso Chemical Ashland Wis Corn Bunion Remover 2" x 3" fold open package, cover reads - Zatso - Contains 96 grains...{please read cover}... per ounce for Corns, Callouses and Bunions - 25 cents - Zatso Chemical Co. Ashland, Wisconsin - Pat. Dec. 16, 1913   Folds open, inside is an odd metallic piece with very aged adhesive on other side.   You were supposed to peel off the backing and put it on your corn.   Back gives directions for use.   Inside extols the healing properties of Salicylic acid and how great Zatso is at moisturizing the corn so it absorbs the curative.   Pkg has some light age wear.   Pencil store mark on front.   Product is aged but complete and intact.   Center of pkg has some staining from product but overall very cool old piece.   Patent date 1913, so it's probably 1920s, maybe 30s.   "This adhesive has the peculiar property of producing an artificial supply of moisture, when applied to a corn, which makes the corn porous and absorbent and at the same time releases and extracts the curative acid from the adhesive in the form of an acidulated solution."   "Do not apply at night, but In The Morning before putting on the hose.   Wear the adhesive a few days, then bath the feet in hot water."
