CITY OF LOS ANGELES SUCCESSFULLY CENSORS CANNABIS STUDY:
With regards to the issue of Medicinal Marihuana, the city of Los Angeles is notorious for its censorship and cover-ups. And why shouldn’t it be --- After all, America’s first recorded Medical Cannabis arrest took place here.

“OFFICERS OBJECT TO “DREAM WEED” CROP”
MEXICAN MAID INSISTS SHE RAISED MARIJUANA FOR STOMACK TROUBLE
SANTA ANA, July 5.---Estofina Diaz said she was raising marijuana for her stomach’s sake and she [must] have been laying up a long-time supply, for a dozen plants were found in her garden and two of the stalks were more than fourteen feet high. All were cut down and confiscated and Estofina was arrested under the county ordinance making it a misdemeanor to have marijuana in one’s possession. Her trial was set for July 9.
Marijuana is the weed which is to a certain element of Mexicans what opium is to the Chinaman. The leaves are dried and smoked.
According to one of the arresting officers, “One puff makes a man’s hair curl up, the second puff makes his head go round, and after the third puff he’s a rarin, tearing’ wild man seeking whom he may cut up or shoot up.”
Culture of the weed was lessened considerable after the county ordinance against it was adopted. [So] that now the product is quite valuable, a small tobacco sack full bringing as much as $1.50.
Estofina pleaded not guilty to the charge against her, declaring she was growing the plants for medicine, as she had been told tea from the leaves was good for stomach trouble. Officers discredit the story.

And wasn’t Los Angeles the home of the great “L.A. COP KILLER”, cover-up? One of Harry Anslinger’s favorite Gore File cases during the Reefer Madness Era.
Oh, in case you missed that one – this is what they were claiming at the time:
“A boy seventeen years of age shot and killed a policeman in Los Angeles, California. Inasmuch as the officer had been his best friend, the boy's action was difficult to understand until it was discovered that he was "high" on "reefers" when he committed the crime.” -- Moloch Of Marihuana (1945) Robert James Devine
“I am reminded of a Los Angeles case in which a boy of seventeen killed a policeman. They had been great friends. Patrolling his beat, the officer often stopped to talk to the young fellow, to advise him. But one day the boy surged toward the patrolman yellowish flame, and the officer fell dead. “Why did you kill him?” the youth was asked. “I don’t know,” he sobbed. “He was good to me. I was high on reefers. Suddenly I decided to shoot him.” -- American Magazine “Marijuana, Assassin of Youth” By H.J Anslinger - July 1937
And hey would America’s first Drug Czar lie to us? --- Well, ah, . . . there is one small problem with the story. It seems that the story (while touted widely) as an example of the effects of Medical Cannabis (the Weed of Madness) and used to obtain public support for the anti-Medical Marihuana laws, --- well it seems that it never happened. The whole story seems to have been fabricated by the Narcotics Police.
For those of you who question this (after all would the Narc’s lie to us), can you provide us with the name of the Cop who was killed? What about the exact date? What about just the name of the young man “High on Reefers”?
These things should be matters of public records. Yet after extensive research on the subject, which included going through numerous back issues of Los Angeles Times, literally searching over each and every LAPD officer (including Sheriffs deputies etc) killed in the line of duty, we have been unable to locate any such incident.
Below are the facts as I/we see them:
- - We have examined each and every L.A.P.D. death on record (starting in 1900) up until July 1937, via websites and newspaper back issues, with no matches.
- - We have examined numerous other police slaying, that occurred near the city of LA, as well as other law enforcement groups (example, Sheriffs Deputies), and again, no matches.
- - We have contacted various governmental groups [LAPD, City of Los Angeles etc.], historical groups, including police memorial groups -- again nothing, no matches.
Thus, I feel safe in saying, that: As there were ONLY so many police officers Killed in the line of duty, and as NONE of them match the given conditions (stated by the head of the Bureau of Narcotics), that NO such case actually occurred. [2]
Which now brings up the issue of why the city of Los Angeles has never corrected the matter. Why no press release saying something like, “No Such Animal”. Humm! It looks like cover-ups are a way of life over there.
