It is our feeling that many Ancient uses of Medical Cannabis are now being ignored by historians simply because they were not famous physicians of their day. The 10th Century Byzantine agricultural book, “The Geoponica,” which by anyone’s standards is anything but a medical text serves as a good example as it still contains medical references:

However as our interest here is solely the medical uses of Cannabis, the reader should take note of the following: Thus the reasoning behind our original pre-assumption, that many of the medical uses that Cannabis was put to by the ancients are simply being ignored by historians for the simple reason that their mention was made, NOT in a major medical text, but in the more obscure works.
