Cold Treatment w/ box and contents - This offering is a great example of a very Curious Cold Treatment from the early 1900's. It is a bottle of Complete Cold Treatment from the Tancro Drug Co. This product is curious because it contains Cannabis Americana (NOT to be confused with Cannabis satival). Still in this early days of medicine there seems to be some awareness that Cannabis does have some medicinal qualities, even though common hemp has none of the intoxicating qualities of Cannabis sative. The product also contains chloroform and alcohol the catch all products of the time in controlling the common cough. Please note this bottles in exceptional condition with no chips or problems and the label is in mint condition. The box does show some age with some cracking of the external paper and the box has lost is lid. Yet, over all this is an exquisite example of our early medication in near mint condition over all. -- note opinions are those of the auctioneer.
