USEFUL (INTERNAL) MUSEUM HEMP RELATED LINKS USEFUL MUSEUM HEMP RELATED LINKS We have been asked numerous times to comment on the value of HEMP OIL as a medicine in modern day terms. And indeed merely typing in some of the keywords – “Medical +Hemp +Seed +Oil” - unto any Internet search engine quickly reviews how wide spread interest in the subject is becoming. However, this would mean getting directly involved in the subjects of medicines (of which we have no qualifications), and thus we will not do. Simply put, we are a historical museum and as such we maintain our interests SOLELY to pre-World War II subject matter. Example: Hemp CBD Oil has not yet been discovered and thus not within our domain of conversation. However, as a historical museum, we have been able to “PHYSICALLY” document a number of subjects that might be of interest to the reader. Or for that matter, anyone doing modern-day or historical research on Hemp Seed/Hemp Seed oil. Examples: Did George Washington grow hemp (yes). Was it against the law (in colonial America) NOT to grow hemp? (yes) . . . For the researcher the following Antique Cannabis Museum web-Links might thus be of some interest. http://reefermadnessmuseum.org/chap04/Virginia/VA_IndHempP1.htm AND NO, as a medical museum (except as a footnote) we also don’t involve ourselves in either the Second World War or subject of Industrial Hemp. However, our sister museum (dealing with the origin of the anti-Medical Cannabis Laws) does dabble a bit into those subjects. Below are two web links that the reader might be of interest in. http://antiquecannabisbook.com/chap04/Illinois/IL_IHIndustrialHemp.htm WANT TO KNOW MORE: ===================== Due to space / download time considerations, only selected materials are displayed. If you would like to obtain more information, feel free to contact the museum. All our material is available (at cost) on CD-Rom format. CONTACT PAGE
